Dr. Kapfhamer joined the Center for Reproductive Medicine in 2018. He has presented both locally and nationally on a number of topics including the evaluation and treatment of infertility, pediatric & adolescent gynecology, ovarian torsion, management of endometriosis, and chronic pelvic pain. His publications and research interests include cellular signaling in reproduction, optimizing IVF outcomes through single embryo transfer, ultrasound imaging in early pregnancy, and informed consent. He received the AAGL Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Award and the Dr. John J. and Joan M. Brennan Endowed Award in Obstetrics and Gynecology. As an instructor and mentor, Dr. Kapfhamer has given back to the medical community in the areas of ethics and professionalism, laparoscopic suturing and advanced endoscopy, resident and medical student education, and child psychology.
Hobbies
Avid runner, spending time with family and friends; listening to, learning about, playing, and discovering new music; and exploring the local food, art, coffee, and craft beer scenes in cities throughout the world.

- Member of Marathon Maniacs – gained entry by completing 2 marathons in 1 week.
- I am a drummer – started playing at age 10.
